SASSA confirms 2026/2027 payment schedule and increases
Official payment dates are confirmed for April 2026 to March 2027, with grant-amount increases from April 2026.

Payment schedule
SASSA confirmed the 2026/2027 payment schedule for Older Persons, Disability, and Children’s grants. Payments remain staggered over three days each month.
May 2026 dates:
- Older Persons: 05 May 2026
- Disability: 06 May 2026
- Children’s grants: 07 May 2026
Grant increases (from April 2026)
Effective from April 2026:
- Older Persons / Disability / Care Dependency: R2 400
- War Veterans: R2 420
- Foster Child: R1 290
- Child Support and Grant-in-Aid: R580
